Just 35 minutes away from London by direct train from St Pancras International, Bedford is a thriving market town of roughly 80,000 inhabitants. The six beautiful parks and the gently flowing River Great Ouse make Bedford - « the historic venue set in fields of green » - a destination of choice. A large area of the town centre is now closed to traffic, and our local guides and host families love to show guests the secrets of this beautiful town.
Our Host Families
Host family accommodation is one of our strongest points ; for over 20 years we have patiently developed a trusted network of friendly families, who are dedicated to making your child’s stay a truly memorable one. All our families must meet our stringent quality demands, and they are of course visited on a regular basis. Another important detail is that our hosts will personally bring (and fetch) your child to the morning and evening meeting points.
Another reason to book your school trip with Advantage is that we will maintain and update - exclusively for your group - a course blog that will enable parents to stay informed and keep in touch. This great extra service is offered free of charge ! Book now for the experience of a lifetime !
Your local coordinator will be available at all times during your course, and will be present every day at the family meeting points. You will also be able to contact your course director at any time during your stay with us.
Your dedicated course coordinator will send you a wish list ; if there are any special requests (for example friends who would like to be together) these must be noted and returned to us. Families can accommodate between 2 and 4 children.
For all students, we will need to know any relevant health information (allergies etc) that must be forwarded to host families. Students are not allowed out in the evening unless they are with their teachers or host families.
- Optional Tour Guide: Your tour guide will have extensive knowledge of each destination and will take care of all the paperwork for you. Interaction with your students is encouraged !
