COVID-19 update

The health crisis we are going through requires efforts from everyone. Advantage International has procedures in place to protect its groups staying with host families or at partner colleges, during coach travel and excursions.

Our host families will receive clear advice on how to prepare their homes (thorough cleaning and airing of rooms for several hours before arrival) and we will maintain regular communication with them regarding the latest government guidelines on social distancing regulations.

We have exclusivity agreements in place for all of our residential courses, so there will be no other groups present during your school trip to our English partner colleges.

Hand washing - students will be invited to wash their hands before and after classes, activities, meals. Hand sanitizers will be available in all of the communal and dining areas and students will be encouraged to use them regularly.

Activities will take place in small groups and we will not organize indoor events involving a large concentration of students, such as disco nights.

For example, Adcote school (our partner on our Harry Potter themed trip) has adopted the BSA Covid-Safe Charter, with other member schools, to ensure that the school takes all appropriate measures to make the boarding school safe for all.

By adopting the charter, Adcote School confirms that it complies with all government rules and guidelines and that it will meet the requirements defined by the BSA when the boarding school reopens.

For more information, the Covid-Safe charter is available here : Covid Safe Charter

Face cover - all students will be required to wear a mask during transportation and visits, as well as during any movement within a building. We will always have a small stock of masks available in case of omission.

Excursions - we will avoid crowded areas and locations whenever possible and students will be encouraged to keep a safe distance and not touch anything unnecessarily. We will give preference to outdoor visits and activities.

BREXIT - passport rules for travel

Advantage International closely follows the British government's decisions regarding access to its territory.
To date, Her Majesty's Government has stated: "There will be no change to travel document requirements this year. We may stop accepting national ID cards for entry to the UK for EEA and Swiss citizens after 2020. We’ll announce further details, including the date for this change, in advance to allow travellers good time to plan their trips."
